About the free 30 minute consultation:
I encourage everyone – all Individuals, family members and professionals -to call me to schedule a free 30 minute consultation. This conversation allows us both to see if we are a good fit. If I can’t meet your needs in an ethical and timely way, I will tell you. If that is the case, I will also make a referral to a colleague who I think will be able to serve you. After working in Seattle/ King County mental health for over 25 years, I can make a few solid referrals!
During the phone conversation we may talk about:
- Why you are seeking treatment at this time?
- What do you hope to get out of therapy?
- What sort of therapist are you looking for?
- How do you want to pay for your sessions?
If we decide to move forward and work together, you will have two payment options.

About my approach to individual therapy:
I offer psychotherapy and case management support for adult individuals. Occasionally I also work with families. I use a variety of evidence based approaches in my work. The core of my work is centered on cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT. CBT focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I also use some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) components. In all my work I put you, the client, first. We will work together to find a cadence and a path towards healing that works for you.
About my approach to consultation with families:
I also offer consultation to families of people who hoard. During the last decade, I worked providing mental health treatment to adults whose housing was unstable. I encountered hoarding so often that I educated myself on Hoarding Disorder’s nature and the evidence based treatments that exist. Over the decade that I worked for this non-profit I was privileged to work alongside premier researchers and clinicians in the field of Hoarding Disorder. Fast forward to today, and I now find myself able to use that same knowledge for your benefit. I consult with families who have a loved one who is living in a hoarded home. I offer information, expertise and a listening ear, as well as connection to resources.
